Legendary musicians Daryl Hall and John Oates perform
songs from their latest album, Our Kind of Soul, as well as classic fan
favourites, for a lucky audience in Bravo!'s state-of-the-art Rehearsal Hall.
Since Hall & Oates's breakthrough in the '70s with such songs as She's Gone,
Sarah Smile and Rich Girl, through to their career peak in the
'80s with such hits as Private Eyes, I Can't Go For That and
Maneater, the duo has remained a driving force in contemporary pop music.
By 1984, Hall & Oates had surpassed The Everly Brothers as the most successful
duo in rock 'n' roll history. Now, more than three decade after the duo's
inception, Daryl Hall and John Oates have released Our Kind of Soul on their own
label, U-Watch Records, via Red Distribution Canada, a collection of 14 familiar
classics that the duo proudly says "they have made their own," as well as three
new soulful originals.
In Live at the Rehearsal Hall: Daryl Hall and John Oates, the duo gives an
energetic performance playing much-loved songs like Maneater and One On One, and
cover classics like Used To Be My Girl, You Are Everything and Love TKO. The duo
sits down with Lance Chilton to discuss their 30-year career, how the music
business has changed over those years and their latest album.
