DARYL HALL JOHN OATES
As they enter
into their third decade of recordings together; Daryl Hall and John Oates offer a new
maturity while at the same time returning to their acoustic and R&S roots - their
sound evolving as "pieces of a puzzle," Daryl explains. "We always learn a
lot from being on tour: We see what people respond to and combine that with the closed
environment of the studio." The result is CHANGE OF SEASON, Daryl Hall & John
Oates' second Arista Records release and 19th career album. Produced by Daryl and John
with bassist T-Bone Wolk, the album was recorded mostly in their own A-Pawling Studio in
upstate New York. The album draws on the down-to-earth, "traditional side" of
Hall & Oates soul / rock sound. "There are no masks, no veils on this
album," Daryl explains. "You can hear our hearts, our souls
and that's
what soul music is all about." |
